 Here is my Challenge Collage for 30 in 30 pus a few more!!!!   Yea Me!

This has been an experience that I will never forget and one Hell of a Ride for sure.  Working full time and making a piece of glass everyday was some what challenging but I did it!    Wow I really can't believe it......so I'm making my final post re 30 in 30 day Challenge! I'm going to post further items on this post as I quite enjoyed posting my success!  I hope that everyone that has looked at this post has enjoyed it !  Take care until next time!  Kimberley

Oh boy what a challenge with glass powder this will be as we all know that we don't like our picture taken but why not this is for fun!

Challenge Day 27 & 28

Words of Wisdom and New Inspiration is the name of the game on this Challenge!!!!  What have we learned for 28 days!

I'm the Artist Model.....Guess Who Albert Einstein!

Wow you want me to draw this?  I ask myself over and over again all day at work!  Oh boy what a challenge  this is I have never did a face before in any drawings of any sort.....or maybe a few when I was younger.  HA HA  Well should be interesting For 27 day's I have taken this challenge and learned a lot and still need to experiment  a bit.

Here is the making of Albert Einstein!  Please go all the way to the bottom and see Albert in the different stages.  You might be surprised!

My Albert Einstein!  Fused  I think I kinda like him not to bad for my first Face and one that I will never forget as I have  had so much fun with this challenge! 

Working on His face just getting a feel for position of dark powders  we start upside down because you can see things that you would be able to see right side up!!!!

Working his face I feel that I have to work on the eyes first so that I know if this is right adding a little bit of powder at a time then moving it around until I'm satisfied  or some what satisfied!  Looking at this picture I know that Albert's chin is too pointy and I have to work on that for sure then his ear.......oh my I hope I can make him a ear?

I guess I just kept going without taking an pic's sorry got caught up in it!

Well I think I'm happy with this! (not sure of the highlights of his left face but I'm going to leave it and see .....that's how I learn RIGHT!

Goodnight Albert I'm putting him in my Kiln tonight as we have to post this tomorrow.

Challenge Day 26

Will I'm so glad that I had the day off again its fun to create things in glass......but I decided that since I did my homework last night I was to clean my studio. Its not quit done but I wanted a fresh start on the week and it was getting so messy.  So hopefully I get to finish later after supper.
The challenge to day was to create another tree but guess what there is a Trick....... we have to create a tree upside down working right hand on the right side and the left on the left side.  HA HA is what I said and this should be fun so this is what I came up with!!!!

Fused!!!!!! I'm going to add colour to this one for sure!!!! She's walking in the Snow! the winter in Saskatchewan... however its been quite nice here this past week so I'm not complaining.

Challenge Day 25

Day 25 Non-Dominant Weekend Challenge

The Saying today is..... Don't Practice until you get it Right. Practice until you can't get it Wrong!
We are to draw a tree - unsung only Business card and tool at your disposal and your non dominant hand!

Its the weekend and I woke up today feeling great!  It's a lovely day here in Saskatoon so I  sitting at my table drinking coffee looking at the challenge today and Emma my dog making all kinds of noise.  I thought that I have extra time today and feeling more relaxed decided to take Emma out for a walk. Off we went with camera in hand as we were walking to started taking pictures of trees in my neighbourhood and really having a good look at branches and twigs and landscape of the trees.  I took several trees from top to bottom I decided to post this picture and try to do this with my left hand.  I noticed way more detail as I wanted to do it better because I concentrating so much at times my right hand wanted to take over and I had to say to myself noooooooooooo left hand only.  I actually like it better.  I worked in detail and tried  to work the powder from light to dark giving it some depth.  We will see when its fused.

Day 24 of Challenge

Releasing the Chains............  What does that mean?  Go back to the beginning .. What I ask?

To create a tree using business card only and non-dominant hand.  This is to help us remember and learn with both sides of the brain. Well I Just did a fun tree then so now I will create with my left hand and business card only.  MY TREE1

Challenge Day 23

Day 23 already and we get some freedom sort of ?
 We get to take a photo of something that we collect or collected over the years.  Well I have collected many items over the years with books, records, trinket 's some we keep and others we garage sale or just get rid of.  But I have not gotten rid of any photo's over the years as these are very precious to me.  I often go through them and have a good laugh or cry of just sit back and remember the days events.

One event that will always stick in my mind is my trip with my daughter Ashley going to Halifax.   Wow that was some trip I love every minute of it and can't wait till I or we go back or some place different.  While on this trip I take ton's and ton's of pictures and at times I get told not to take so many will that's hard to do when your a Artist...... as I often think can I do this in Glass???????

On sunny day we drove to Peggy's Cove in a little rick a dink car that made ton's of noise but that didn't matter as we were on an adventure.  Right away I started taking pictures of Peggy's Cove, walking was so lovely as we went in the back and walked on all the rock's and just sat around and listened to the ocean.  I ( we)  totally love it being by the ocean does something to you,  put in a space were  you can just dream away.  So with that in mind I wanted to share an experience of a picture that I took.  I really could not believe what I saw in the heart of the stone!  Take a close look and  in the centre you will see a face among other things.  I created this memory in glass.
